Minneapolis-based Alatus LLC and contractor Doran Construction will celebrate a major milestone Tuesday at a downtown Minneapolis apartment project site.
Alatus and Doran will “top off” the Latitude 45 apartments at 301 Washington Ave., finishing the structure’s ascent to 13 stories. The building will include 319 luxury apartments.
“We are very excited to be leading the development of Latitude 45,” Bob Lux, founder and principal of Latitude 45, said in a prepared statement. “The Mill District has so many wonderful characteristics and we are pleased to be able to continue to build upon recent successes of Washington Avenue and further establish the neighborhood as a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly community through the Latitude 45 Apartments.”
Other project partners include ESG Architects and the Laramar Group.
The Latitude 45 building will feature a rooftop garden terrace, private rooftop pool, grilling stations and an outdoor theater, among other amenities. The building is due for completion by next summer.
The building’s first-floor retail space will include a restaurant by Ryan Burnet, the restaurateur behind Bar La Grassa and others. Latitude 45 will also have skyway access.
With the topping-off out of the way, Doran workers will complete the post-tension concrete aspect of the project and move on to installing exterior walls and windows.
“We are proud to have been a part of a team that achieved this milestone so quickly and we are looking forward to the next phase of construction and to delivering a best-in-class product and a new exciting residential community for Downtown Minneapolis,” Kelly Doran, Doran Cos. founder and principal, said in a prepared statement.
